Macadamia Nut Hummus

Summer is great ‘chips and dip’ weather, and hummus is always a crowd pleaser -but did you know you can make it with macadamias? With only 5 ingredients (and no oil!) it’s light, spreadable and delicious!
Ingredients1 cup Morish Jumbo Raw macadamia nuts, soaked in water for 24 hours, drained and rinsed2-3 cloves garlic3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice2-3 tablespoons water2 tablespoons tahinipinch cayenne peppersea salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
InstructionsAdd all ingredients to the bowl of your food processor or high powered blender and blend on high until smooth.
NotesBegin with 2 cloves of garlic and 2 tablespoons of water and work your way up, if needed. Makes approximately 1¼ cup of hummus, 2 tablespoons per serving
